I´d like to introduce to you this extraordinary artist, Catya Maré, whose music is both refreshing, rejuvenating, sensual and spiritual...who uses the violin as her hauntingly beautiful voice woven into a mind-boggling mix of World music, New Age, Classical crossover and Electronic...
Her story:
The Danish artist Catya Maré has performed as a classical violinist since her early childhood (first concert as a soloist with a large symphony orchestra at age 10), held the position of an alternating concertmaster with one of Europe´s finest symphony orchestras, Aarhus Symfoni Orkester (DK) and has done numerous performances at international concert halls and major museums of art, such as National Galerie Berlin (Germany) and Kunsthaus Zürich (Switzerland).
2005, her wish to blend together several musical genres and create her own unique compositions made her leave the classical music world and start composing / producing her own music (electronica / smooth jazz / world / Celtic new age / ambient / pop).
She relocated to the USA in 2008.
Catya Maré was nominated for the Hollywood Music Award in November 2008 and won the Billboard World Songwriting Contest in February 2009. In November 2009 Catya Maré won the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media Award.
In February 2010 she won 8 Editor´s Choice Awards on one of the leading music licensing sites today, Revostock.
Catya Maré´s music is included in Hollywood movies, such as "Butterflies in the wind" and "Homecoming", TV shows (e.g. "Cruisin´with E-Rider") and receives worldwide air play.
Her critically acclaimed albums "LIGHT LONGING", "Remembering The Day" and "Destination Love" can be bought from all the major digital music outlets, such as iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby etc...
Said all that Catya Maré´s music does something very special to the listener: it touches the soul and refreshes the mind and body, like an auditory spa treatment....enjoy!
